This Privacy Policy describes how Bloc Technologies, Inc. ("Bloc," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you access or use our website at meetbloc.com, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not access or use the Platform.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including Merchants, Consumers, and visitors.


02 information we collect

Information You Provide

account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and, for Merchants, your business name and business address.

profile information
Merchants may provide service descriptions, pricing, availability, photographs, and other content to display on the Platform.

transaction information
We collect information related to bookings, purchases, resales, and other transactions conducted through the Platform, including bloc details, pricing, and transaction timestamps.

communications
We collect messages exchanged between Merchants and Consumers through the Platform, as well as communications with Bloc support.

identity verification
During onboarding, we may collect additional information required for identity verification and compliance with Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") regulations, including government-issued identification.

Information Collected Automatically

device information
We collect information about the device you use to access the Platform, including IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

usage data
We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, features used, click patterns, and session duration.

location data
We collect approximate location data (city and region level) to provide marketplace relevance, such as displaying nearby Merchants and locally available blocs.

cookies
We use cookies solely for authentication, session management, and account security. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies. See Section 7 for more details.

Information From Third Parties

payment partners
We receive transaction confirmation and settlement status information from our payment processing partners.

identity verification partners
We receive verification results from third-party identity verification services used during onboarding.

financial on-ramp partners
We share information with identity verification and financial on-ramp partners to facilitate secure asset transfers and comply with Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") regulations.

analytics providers
We receive aggregated usage and performance data from infrastructure-level analytics services. These providers do not set cookies on your device.


03 how we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  1. Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
  2. Process transactions, settlements, and payouts.
  3. Facilitate the Marketplace, including resale matching and bloc discovery.
  4. Generate anonymized and aggregated pricing insights and demand signals to improve marketplace performance and pricing accuracy.
  5. Communicate with you, including sending booking confirmations, resale alerts, payout notifications, and other service-related messages.
  6. Personalize your experience on the Platform.
  7. Prevent fraud, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  8. Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  9. Develop new features, products, and services.
  10. Conduct analytics and research using anonymized and aggregated data.

06 your rights and choices

All Users

  1. Access your personal data held by Bloc.
  2. Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  3. Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  4. Opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at privacy@meetbloc.com. Service-related communications (such as booking confirmations and payout notifications) are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
  5. Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act:

  1. Right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold.
  2. Right to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  3. Right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Bloc does not sell personal information.
  4. Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
  5. Right to correct inaccurate personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request to privacy@meetbloc.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within forty-five (45) days.

Other State Privacy Laws

If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or another state with applicable consumer privacy legislation, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain data processing activities. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@meetbloc.com.


07 cookies

Bloc uses cookies solely to keep you logged in and to protect your account. These essential cookies enable authentication, session management, and security protections. The Platform cannot operate properly without them.

We do not use functional cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies. We do not track your browsing activity across other websites.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or completing transactions on the Platform.


08 security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit, access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.

09 children's privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@meetbloc.com.


10 international users

The Platform is operated in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and its processing as described in this Privacy Policy.


11 changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. For registered Users, we may also provide notice via email or in-app notification.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you must stop using the Platform and close your account.
